Working with young people of today to develop leaders of tomorrow.

Mission Statement

To foster a community where young people have the full opportunity to achieve their potential and are recognised as an integral part of society.
Set-up by friends and family of the late Mayor Tayo Situ and launched in February 2012, TSF aims to foster youth engagement, leadership and achievement.

Late Mayor Tayo Situ had always wanted to organise some sort of event to educate our young people about the opportunities open to them in place of a life of crime.

Indeed Mayor Tayo Situ had already held several meetings leading up to May 2011 before his death with Southwark Council’s leadership team about how this can materialise.

So it was very important that a Foundation established in his memory focuses on young people particularly in the area of South East London.

Our objectives are (but not exclusive to) –

  • Youth Engagement - Foster youth engagement by supporting other organisations and work in partnership to develop local talent who could later become role models.
  • Recognise, encourage and celebrate youth achievement through activities, events and projects.
  • Mentoring - support and encourage people to manage their own learning through mentoring, in order that they may maximise their own potential and develop their skills and performance.
